We had the best weather and the worst turn out of the year Saturday. There were 9 competitors.
The wind was a pain, but it made us all feel good. Just a reminder that next month's match (10-12-2013) will be the last for this year.
After the matches are complete we'll go to the main club house for hamburgers and the presentation of end of year trophies.
There are still a couple of classes that are not cinched yet

Had another nice turn out of shooters. As you know Chuck Duncan has been running the centerfire matches.
Chuck and I discussed at our July 11th shoot that maybe we could start shooting more Centerfire matches, even look at the possibility of shooting them every Thursday after the Rimfire matches.
If not every Thursday, may be twice a month. Contact Chuck or myself and let us know what you would like to do.
Shooting of the rimfire as usual went well. Paul Prather picked up a model 52C, but we couldn't get it sighted in. We will have to shim the scope to get it on target.

Good turn out today. Had two shooters come by and watch us shoot and I think they will be shooting with us before long.
We are going to start shooting centerfire matches on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. There is enough interest to add another Thursday..

Nice day to shoot. We were down on the number of shooters, but vacation time has hit us.
One was in Canada and one in Europe. Have one shooter moving to St George Utah.
We are now shooting centerfire on the 2nd and 4th Thursday mornings. We shoot right after the rimfire shooters are done.
We are getting a nice turn out for the matches...

Here is the August 8th match report.
We are also shooting Centerfire on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month.
They shoot after our rimfire match and it is run by Chuck Duncan. He scores the targets and I get them at the next match and post the scores.
So I am a week behind in posting the center fire scores.
Paul Prather did a great job by shooting a personal best score of 241/5X. Good job Paul..

Thunderstorm and rain but cleared up before the match
Bob and Paul Prather was in Canada today for a pistol shoot

Sorry I am so late, but I have been shooting almost every day getting ready for the Canadian Police Combat Matches in Abbotsford Canada.We shot the match this past weekend.
I have made a change in one of our rules. We shoot for tight group and the winner does not pay the next match.
It seems that Walt wins every week, because no one else shoots it. Now the rule is that at least three people have to shoot a tight group to
have a winner. After all it is a competition.

Here are the results of the last two matches. There was some great shooting going on. Still having a great turn out of shooters.
This Thursday I will not be at the match. I will be in Arizona attending the National meeting of the 40et8. Will be back on Sunday.
