Entry Fees Reduced, I have done some math and have it figured and we can stand
to reduce the price and cover cost this will make it better for everyone. This
is a 2 Match Tournament consisting of the S.E. Regional and The USBR National
Rimfire Match, the new Match Fees will be $20 per match (1 or all 3 classes) and
$30 for both matches (1 or all 3 classes in both matches up to 6 total cards).
With the bad economy and due to the fact were not trying to make money just
cover cost we can give a break when possible and lower cost = more Shooters, so
I think this will cover the cost of awards and food and break even like last
year. Any out of town shooters wanting Hotel Accommodations I have a block of
rooms reserved at the Webster Inn’s and Suites (256-383-4100) just tell the desk
person that you are with the USBR National Match and you will get the $54.50
USBR Deal (incl. tax and Breakfast), a Friday night Shooters Meeting and dinner
(if you wish, at your cost) will be held at the Hotel in the El Ray Restaurant
at aprox. 7:30-8:00 PM (optional), I am going to meet our out of town guest and
welcome them personally. I hope to see you there, until then keep it in the 10.

Not a real big turn out of shooters. It has been really windy this last week and the day of the match it has died down a little. I suspect that some of the shooters thought it would be windy on Thursday also, so they decided to stay home.

What a day of shooting. We had the wind, but no rain, and it shows in the scores. There were still some nice scores shot in spite of the wind. We don't get a lot of wind on our range usually. We have talked about going to other ranges to shoot and I am sure we will be affected by the wind, but we need to get out and shoot other ranges. We are still holding to 7 to 8 shooters each week. Been getting a lot of people getting in touch with me by e-mail or phone interested in shooting. Most of them work jobs during the week and cannot make our Thursday morning shooting. Being retired does have its advantages. Hope all is well with every one around the US . I see that there is snow on the East Coast, and in the south. Have a friend in Arkansas and they have a lot of snow. Train Hard and Shoot Easy

What a beautiful day for shooting. The sun was shinning and it was cold and we did get a couple gust of wind, but all in all it was a beautiful day. Welcome back Jay Sadler, his wife has been sick and he has been taking care of her. She is much better and Jay is back shooting again. We missed him. Jay and I are both retired Police Officers and have been shooting together since 1975. Yep I am that old.
Good scores. Match winner was Bob Cruden with a very respectable 237/5X. Bob is also a cast bullet shooter and did very well at the last match on Saturday, I believe he won his class. We will be back on the range this Thursday. Bob Kadow Clark Rifles Inc, Director of USBR

What a day of shooting. No wind early in the morning and then about half way through the match the wind came up a little. Sky was clear and no rain. It was a great day to shoot.
I was back (haven't shot it in 6 months) with my turbo action handgun and shot a couple respectable scores.
Mike Saunders shot the tightest group the was .120. and did it with his encore .22 pistol. I wonder if he wants to sell it, LOL. Several months back we started shooting groups. You get one 5 shot group, you circle it on the target (you have to claim your group, at the time you shot it, you cannot wait until all targets are shot and choose the target you want to use). Then the next week you get to shoot for free.
I got an email from Mr. Moore and ask if we were going to the nationals. I sure would like too and I am going to talk to our shooters and see what they want to do. I think it would be a great opportunity to meet some of the other shooters. Bob Kadow Clark Rifles Inc.

One could not have asked for
a nicer day for a match, 58-63* sunny with only nominal winds from 12 and
6 o'clock (3.1mph avg with a gust of 8.4mph). I personally
shot awful and Anedra (my Wife) got me twice in one match, but I had fun and got
to meet some new USBR Shooters wanting to get into the Sport and I hope they do.
This is the first match since October of last year that we had a good day for
shooting, so most of us have to knock the rust and dust off before we get back
up in the mid 230's where we usually hang out at. I am glad with our later start
time Jon and Amy got to come out and play with us for a change since Jon is
usually at the gun shop till
noon on Sat. maybe we will
see more of them in the months to come. I would like to personally thank all
that came out and shot and those that just came to spectate, we are glad to have
yall and come on back next month same time same place and shoot a card with us.
Until then keep it in the 10... Tony "T"

The weather was as good as it gets only a
light 5-10mph switching wind at times and it got warm quick about noon with a
top out of a pleasant 71* at the match end around 2. We had a average turnout to
shoot with several that came to pay their respects at the range vs. the service,
there were a different David story in every group of people in the parking lot I
can definitely say even though not a regular at the USBR Match David was
noticeably absent and missed today, he usually came in when we were leaving to
pick up brass on the pistol and high power side and would always stop in to say
hello and speak to everyone loitering in the parking lot and pavilions. I know I
said in a post last night a personal best or Record would be interesting if shot
with the levity of the day and darn if I didn't do it, it kinda makes you wonder
if we didn't have an "extra shooter" present today

NASA March USBR Group
Shoot Competition Results
Each month all USBR shooters may at their choice shoot a 5 shot group in or near
the little USBR Shield on the target and the smallest group gets to shoot the
class they won for free the next month with no match fee!!! I got this idea from
our sister Club Clark Rifles Inc, Bob Kadow their M.D. came up with this idea to
attract new shooters and have a friendly side competition and had success. So I
decided to try it and it took off like a wild fire from 3-4 in all to 5-6 in 3
classes also now we know now just how small of a 5 shot group can be fired at 50
yds. and its fun too.
Congratulations Willie you get a free run at Sporter next
month, until then good luck and keep it in the 10. "T"

CCTN
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
March 21st Match- CCTN- Rio de Janeiro Brazil.
First match of 2010. Great shooting weather (no wind) although hot, muggy and overcast- typical early spring weather here. Can’t say we missed each other as we've all been here every weekend since the last match of 2009... Well that’s what you get when you like what you do!! We're now seeing interest in the Air Power mode as well this year. Fritz
Range conditions today were as follows:
Overcast, partly cloudy
Temperature: 93 *F
Humidity: 85%
Avg. Wind: 0 MPH
